Driver Pleads "Not Guilty" To Charges Arising From Death of Chicago Cyclist, Bobby Cann

Ryne San Hamel, the driver who allegedly killed cyclist Bobby Cann with his car on May 29th, pled not guilty on Friday to charges of felony aggravated driving under the influence involving a death and reckless homicide, according to Jason Jenkins of the Active Transportation Alliance "San Hamel failed a sobriety test, had an blood alcohol content of .127, and was going 50 mph-- 20 mph over the area's speed limit,"  at the time of the crash according to NBC 5 Chicago.

San Hamel's not guilty plea wasn't entirely unexpected.  But it undoubtedly means the effort to see him convicted of the serious crimes he is alleged to have committed will continue for some time.
