Video Demonstrates Rights and Duties of Bicyclists
Below is one of the best videos I have seen demonstrating the rights and responsibilities of bicyclists in traffic. Everything explained and shown in this short film is consistent with Illinois law.
One thing I don't feel was demonstrated very well in the video is where a cyclist should occupy a lane when it's a single lane road with parking on the right (I guess a two lane street, but only the left lane is drivable). Should the cyclist hug the parked cars so traffic can pass on the left? Or control the lane and only duck to the right when pockets open?
